Our Rules Arena Rules
- Walk OFF the rail in outdoor arenas.
- Walk ON the rail in indoor arena.
- Jumping allowed only with supervision of a Fields & Fences
approved trainer or instructor.
- Riders must wear a helmet while jumping.
- Children under 18 must wear a helmet at all times while mounted.
- Only trainers and instructors allowed in the riding arena during lessons.
- Spectators must watch from the viewing areas.
- Travel in the same direction as other riders. Before calling for a
change of direction, ask the trainer(s) in the ring if it's okay with
them. If a rider is jumping a course during a lesson and comes at you
from the opposite direction, pass each other left shoulder to left
shoulder.
- While mounted, do not gather at the in gate to chat.
Keep the in gate closed.
- In the indoor arena, only one horse may be lunged at a time (excluding
a lunge line lesson). A horse needing lunging prior to a lesson takes
precedent over any other lunging. Ask trainer(s) in arena where they
would like horse lunged. Outside, horses may be lunged in the round pens or in Ring 3 (has
3-rail fence). Absolutely no lunging in Ring 1 or Ring 2!
- Riders hacking should yield to riders taking a lesson. Call "door" before entering the indoor arena from outside.
- After it rains, please so not trot or canter in the grass areas as this
will cause the ground to become uneven and ruin the turf for all of us.
Miscellaneous
- No smoking in or near any building.
- Dogs must be on a leash and attended at all times. No dogs in the
office or viewing rooms.
- Management will provide fans when needed. All other fans and heaters
are prohibited.
- Horses are dewormed every two months by horse owner's vet. Management
will coordinate with all owners' vets so that deworming is done at the
same time.
- Boarders shall be charged for damage to stalls or turn out paddocks and pastures.
- One tack trunk or storage container is allowed per horse. All equipment
including off season blankets or sheets must be kept IN (not around) a
tack trunk. One saddle and one bridle per horse are allowed in the tack
room.
- Boarders may not drill or attach anything to wood stalls or iron grills. Please turn off lights in stall when you're not in stall. Boarders on self serve must clean up after their horses in the aisles and wash racks.
